Cutting Disc

As a key tool for material separation, the classification system of cutting discs forms a professional gradient based on matrix strength, abrasive density and cutting characteristics. Unlike general cutting tools, cutting discs generally adopt a reinforced glass fiber mesh laminated structure, with a radial tensile strength of more than 1200MPa, and an outer diameter tolerance strictly controlled within ±0.8mm to ensure high-speed rotation stability.

According to the abrasive system, it can be divided into two mainstreams: alumina-based and diamond-based. Alumina cutting discs use phenolic resin composite 35%-45% calcined corundum, specializing in carbon steel and stainless steel cutting, with a standard thickness of 1.0-3.0mm, and the cutting line speed needs to match 60-80m/s working conditions. Diamond cutting discs use nickel-based alloy as the matrix, with a diamond concentration gradient distribution of 25%-40%. When cutting concrete, the blade loss rate is 70% lower than that of traditional discs, and the standard water cooling system controls the cutting temperature below 200℃.

Structural innovation promotes performance breakthroughs: laser slotted cutting blades are designed with 24-36 equally dispersed heat grooves, which directly reduces the cutting temperature by 45%; laminated metal-based cutting blades use 0.2mm stainless steel sheets for alternating lamination, which reduces the vibration amplitude by 60% when cutting titanium alloys. The wet slices dedicated to the construction industry innovatively add rare earth elements, and the self-sharpening of the abrasive grains is increased by 3 times after contact with water, and the continuous cutting depth can reach 120mm.

Special field needs give rise to customized products: nuclear power pipeline cutting uses cobalt-based alloy reinforcement sheets, and the radiation resistance life is 5 times that of conventional products; photovoltaic silicon rod cutting uses electroplated diamond ultra-thin sheets (0.5mm), and cooperates with diamond wire guide wheels to achieve ±0.1mm cutting accuracy. The EU EN 13236 standard requires that the breaking speed of the cutting blade must be more than 1.6 times the working speed, and high-end products use X-ray detection to eliminate internal defects of more than 0.2mm. The current research and development focus has shifted to intelligent coating technology. Titanium nitride coated cutting blades have achieved a 40% reduction in friction coefficient, and integrated RFID chips to monitor the remaining cutting mileage in real time.
